Does your pet need an operation?

Surgery—no matter how routine—is something that should be taken seriously. At Hometown Pet Care, we treat each and every procedure as our most important task of the day. We screen all surgical patients for safety and tailor our pain control strategy to meet each animal’s individual needs. By being thorough and prioritizing our surgical care, we can vastly reduce the risk of complication and ensure optimum safety and comfort for your pet. We want you to feel confident that your loved one will receive the highest level of care with us.

Our team is experienced in all aspects of pet surgery and we always adhere to the strictest standards of care. This includes using modern techniques and up-to-date monitoring equipment. Our goal is to make your pet’s procedure as smooth and uneventful as possible. We also want to keep him or her comfortable. That’s why we use only the safest, most effective pain management products.

Your pet’s surgery will be handled by our skilled surgical team. From the moment you arrive to drop your companion off, we will be on top of all of his or her needs. Our dedicated support staff will help your pet get settled in and spend some time easing his or her nerves. We believe that the calmer, more relaxed the patient, the better the process will go. Once we feel your pet is in the right state of mind, we will carefully prepare for the procedure.

Surgery will be conducted by one of our experienced doctors. Throughout the entire procedure, our vet techs will keep a close eye on your pet’s vital signs and pain levels. Once the operation is complete, we will continue to monitor your loved one as he or she awakens from anesthesia. You will be contacted and a pick up time will be arranged, at which point we’ll explain our post-operative care instructions. We’ll also welcome any questions you may have before you go.

Our general surgery practice includes numerous soft tissue procedures as well as basic orthopedic surgery. For cases in which your pet may require more advanced surgery, we will gladly provide a referral to Oklahoma State University.

Pet surgery may seem like a frightening prospect, but with the right team in your corner it doesn’t have to be. We want you to know that when it comes to surgical care, you can count on us! Contact us today to discuss your pet’s specific needs.
